The goal of this conditioning phase is to re-pattern the way your body moves, building a solid fitness foundation, which will increase strength, flexibility and cardiovascular capacity. As your body heals and you find physical activity more enjoyable, you will move into Phase 2.
The emphasis of this phase is on increasing physical output and developing skills to improve proficiency in your daily movement or athletic output. Increased demands are placed on your neuromuscular system and cognitive skills, with resultant fat loss and strength gains. This phase will improve the way your body moves and feels and will prepare you for Phase 3.
This is the advanced training phase and emphasis will be on optimal fitness and the achievement of highly specific goals. In this phase, complex skills, including those related to a specific sport or activity are emphasized.
